In Vila Madalena, in São Paulo, Vila de Terra Hortifrúti is an example of inclusive architecture adapted to its surroundings.
Exploring the potential of Perm Architecture, whose basis is that each construction project is in symbiosis with the natural, cultural and productive surroundings of the site, was the trigger that drove the reformulation of a hortifruit in the neighborhood of Vila Madalena, in São Paulo, and approached it. the whole idea of what it is to be a purposeful company. The former Natural da Terra became Vila da Terra at the hands of Atelier Marko Brajovic + Daniela Ruiz with the mission of creating a positive impact in the region with actions ranging from an organic planting school to a small farmers' fair that occupies the space.
Elements of the demolition of the previous building were integrated as raw material for the new building reframing, as well as structures that incorporate the concept of recycling into materials and design. The areas intended for each activity were designed to allow a constant and distributed occupation of the space where the different functions (selling, learning, resting, meeting and working) are integrated. In the spatial organization, highlight the landscaping that brings to the place productive and verdant flower beds with more than 100 species including pancs, spices and medicinal herbs, and creates a link between the building and Owls Square, just ahead.
The first phase of the project aims to test concepts, dynamics and the “metabolism” of the transformed building, so that by 2020 the second phase of the renovation will be activated. "The idea is that the construction is done in a gradual and organic process, constantly adapting to the external and internal functions of this organism called architecture," explains Marko Brajovic.
