NSDC project proposes a re-design of the city fences into public furniture by considering the design process as a transformation tool, used to shape the urban landscape and its uses. When "walls are folded", their use is redefined; from a segregating and separation urban element into a place of meeting and aggregation. More than a form, the project presents itself as a tool for urban civic transformation.
NSDC project originally commissioned to Atelier Marko Brajovic by the public institutions of São Paulo City Hall and Museu da Cidade in 2015, is part of the exhibition Walls of Air in the Brazilian Pavilion.
NSDC is an acronym representing Lina Bo Bardi’s “Na selva das Cidades”, eng. “In the city Forest”.
