The architectural requalification project of the existing building, which will be part of the program of the new Museum of Indigenous Culture, is based on the premise of being a dynamic and flexible platform for exhibition, educational, administrative and finally collaborative uses.
The concept of the project, to implement the building's functionalities with technical equipment, is being inspired and informed by Indigenous iconography. The characterization of the environments and visual communication are also designed in a way that is sensitive to the content and dynamics of Indigenous and non-Indigenous users, promoting precisely this integration from the garden, entrances and all respective floors.
Our project aims to create the operational conditions so that artists and the greater Indigenous community, finally through art, crafts, cultural and educational manifestations, can “naturalize” the building, as an initiatory act of decolonizing the signs and meanings of the current typology.
A Museum that speaks synchronously of the ancestor and the future.
