For us, OCA presents itself with a cosmic geometry and cosmogonic energy. The house of all houses, the symbolic architecture of Niemeyer transcends in a performance and public space.
More than design an exhibition, we intend to create a unique experience in the world of Francesco Vezzoli.
The public is invited to discover the surroundings of OCA’s infinite background, with a free circulation, that seduces by its phenomenological effects. A polyphonic space produced by lights and sounds.
Conceptually and physically, OCA’s space dematerializes itself through the reflection and refraction of the lines of the lights.
The "luminous organism" created with light, works as a dialogue between architecture and Vezzoli’s work.
OCA turns into a new scene with a clubbing effect, an endless party, a narrative that never began and will never end.
The work of the Italian artist and filmmaker Francesco Vezzoli consists mainly on the creation of parodies and subversive allegories of all kinds, including embroidery, photography, sculpture, satirical trailers for films that will never be produced and site-specific performances with celebrities of cinema and music. This is the artist's first retrospective exhibition in Brazil.
