The pocket version of the Campana brothers' "De Fio em Fio" exhibition at Casa Electrolux, presents a different and unprecedented perspective of their famous chairs, having as a differential the interaction with the public in a playful installation.
Entitled "Campana, why?", the installation created by Atelier Marko Brajovic is composed of five chairs suspended inside a rectangle of white ropes that floats in space. For this, 2 thousand yarns were used, the equivalent of 3 km of ropes.
To enter the rectangle and have access to the chairs, visitors have to interact with the ropes that fall freely. The chairs are arranged in an increasing line of sight, from the lowest to the highest, as if the highest was about to fly through the glass ceiling of Casa Electrolux. The white strings of the rectangle create a tactile interface that dialogues with the objects of the Campana brothers and the Casa Electrolux geometries and concepts.
