Spider House (Casa Teia) is a technological evolution of Casa Arca. Based on the same typology and technology as the shelter system, this house differs in the organization of its floor plan and its proportions.
The construction was implemented in an area of jucca traditional plantation and simultaneously with the building process, it was implemented as an agroflrestal system.
The house has a multifunctional main space, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a workshop and a technical area. Enclosed by Galvalume (carbon steel + aluminum + zinc), the ceiling height is 3.9m, and the volume 7m wide by 22m. The technological improvements of the Teia house come with a new ventilation system, underfloor heating in a functional basement.
Zazi, the owner of the house, talks about it: "I was raised in an extremely close-knit family. Family gatherings were always fun and loving. Having had four children, each living in a different city, I dreamed of a place where we could all be together. When the possibility arose of creating this house at the foot of the beautiful Serra da Bocaina, I decided to return to Nature, touching lightly on the earth. The constructive system offered a quick, clean and comfortable assembly shelter. It allowed me to contemplate a way of life in close contact with Nature, without giving up the comfort of modern technology. Due to my family name – Spider – the spider web represents the network of family relationships and the desire to join the people I love.”
