The costumes and accessories presented are part of the Amazon Research Wear series. They are shelters or technical equipment for research work in tropical and subtropical forests. The pieces are inspired by problems that researchers (biologists, musicians, environmentalists, architects, chemists, botanists ...) face daily on their expeditions.
Amazon Anti mimetic Research Wear considers problems as rain, insects, protection of equipment and food. It serves as a refuge and hut in situations of prolonged technical expeditions in the field. Amazon Anti mimetic Research Wear protects, harbors, transports, covers and decorates. The same piece transforms from backpack into sleeping shed, raised to the ground, is immune against moisture and insect attacks.
The decorative anti-mimicry use of the color, reproduces the strategies of poisonous tropical frogs. The intense colors are generally attributed to vertebrates, invertebrates and insects from tropical and subtropical regions with high toxic potency. Identified by other predators, thanks to this natural code, they are avoided and safe. Without claiming that animals have an aesthetic sense, we can certainly conclude that they know how to "read" the chromatic difference, as a "sign".
Plumage and other "luxurious" strategies enhance the effectiveness of objects as anti-imitation survival strategies.
Humans (due to the specificity of environment and conditions) are in the same category of principles and needs.
